A Bacon with purple color on the fat

Hello! Yesterday I bought some bacon that looked completely fine, or at least I didn't see anything defective with it since I bought it in a package. Today I decided to cook it, yet I saw a strong purple color on a small part of the fat which obviously aroused my suspicion, and yet I decided to go with it since it was said online that it is safe. So why would I ask this question then, because when I rechecked out of curiosity I saw that the bacon fat color shouldn't change at all. It should be just yellow or white. I have already cooked it and also eaten it, when cooked it turned green a bit and I decided to just cut the part with the green on it. Obviously I came out a bit dumb in this situation, but should it be of concern to me? submitted by /u/Popular_Actuary3924 [link] [comments]
