Advice needed for buying a Range Hood - please help!

Hi all, I need your advice in picking a range hood for our kitchen. We didn't have one and recently did an kinda expensive installation to put in this unit, KitchenAid - 30" Under cabinet Range Hood: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/kitchenaid-30-convertible-range-hood-stainless-steel/9168085.p?skuId=9168085 However, we ran into issues. This Range hood's depth was only 19 inches while our gas range was 24 inches. Moreover, the vents were in the back with lights in the front. So this hood only really covered the back burners. It was ineffective. I am returning it to Bestbuy tomorrow and planning to remove the cabinets, and go for a wall mounted range hood that will be effective. I need suggestions for hoods - ones that are 30 inches wide and atleast 24 inches deep with good vent coverage. I really do not understand the need for lights on the hood. It reduces the vent coverage area. Any suggestions will be really appreciated! Thanks! submitted by /u/stasuke [link] [comments]
