dotAGE - Michele Pirovano - The merciless turn-based town builder where you play as the prophetic elder of a doomed village
Hello everybody and nice to meet you! I am Michele, an indie game dev from Italy, and I want to share the game I've been working on in my spare time in the last 8 years. It is called dotAGE, you play as the prophetic elder of a secluded village, trying to survive hundreds of events that affect the poor, doomed village. It is turn-based, as it is heavily inspired by euro board games, of which I am a great fan. It is also a love letter to the style of the first The Settlers, the first game I ever felt in love with when I was a small child. At last, it is a weird exploration of roguelite and survival mechanics, with a lot of surprises waiting for you (I spend these years adding... too much) I'm currently in the process of fine tuning the balancing of the game (what a great feat!) and working endlessly to make everything work correctly before announcing a release date. In the meantime, I am looking to get a lot of eyes on the game, to maximize my chances, and taking all opportunities I can as a small solo-dev to get the game seen (thank you very much for this opportunity, bu the way!) You can find a playable demo here on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/638510/Age/ If you do give it a try, leave some feedback! Balance has already changed a lot since I published the demo, but there is always something to talk about! Also, if you have any question, I *love* to talk about the development. And here is a trailer of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xPSoRBVSBU&t=1s Thank you and have a great Indie Sunday! submitted by /u/Catman87 [link] [comments]
