I just got a box of dry pasta and some of the noodles are... red in spots? Has this pasta gone bad?

I just got an ordinary box of pasta of a brand I eat all the time, and dumped it into the water. However, some of the pasta is slightly red in certain spots. This isn't tri-color pasta, there is nothing on the box to indicate that it's anything but normal pasta, but some of the spots are noticeably red. Is this something I should be worried about? Is it mold, or did it just get overcooked during the production process? If I could get an answer within the next eleven minutes I would be very appreciative! submitted by /u/UltimaGabe [link] [comments]
